IN Brief:
- Prinova plans to demonstrate functional nutrition prototypes at SupplySide Global in late October.
- Human nutrition concepts include PreSip/PostSip, a clear protein drink and Sunproof.
- NutriPaw is a separate dog nutrition mix containing chicken broth, mushrooms and turmeric.
Prinova has developed four functional nutrition concepts for demonstration at SupplySide Global 2026, covering recovery-oriented products, a clear protein drink, a skin-focused supplement and a daily mix for dogs. The company announced the formulations on 7 October ahead of the exhibition scheduled for 28–30 October in Las Vegas. These are product development examples intended to demonstrate ingredient and premix capabilities. Prinova has not announced commercial launch dates, production volumes or clinical trial results for the completed concepts.
Prinova’s ingredient and premix operations provide the basis for those prototypes, combining proteins, amino acids, vitamins and botanical extracts in distinct delivery formats. Combining these components in a finished delivery format requires attention to the dose, stability and compatibility of each ingredient. A formulation that can be prepared successfully in a small development batch still needs process and shelf-life testing before it can be manufactured repeatedly for commercial sale. The newly described prototypes are therefore evidence of formulation work rather than confirmation of new operating production lines.
Within the range, PreSip and PostSip use different formats for products positioned around recovery following alcohol consumption, with an intended use before or after drinking respectively. PreSip is a capsule designed for use before drinking, while PostSip is a stick pack intended to be mixed and consumed the following morning. Both use Setria, a branded L-glutathione ingredient, while the stated additional components include botanical extracts in the capsule and natural caffeine and electrolytes in the powder. The positioning should not be mistaken for demonstrated medical treatment of alcohol-related symptoms or verified prevention of a hangover.
Capsules and stick packs require different preparation controls: the former depend on powder flow and accurate fill weights, while the latter must remain stable in portioned packaging before mixing. Capsule filling requires a powdered blend with suitable flow and dosing characteristics, along with controls over the amount filled into each shell. A stick pack has to be filled and sealed consistently, then produce the intended drink when the consumer adds liquid. Ingredient particle size, sensitivity to moisture and compatibility with the packaging can influence both processes. Prinova has not disclosed the complete excipient formulation or detailed filling equipment selected for either prototype.
Although L-glutathione participates in biological antioxidant systems, that property alone provides no evidence of clinical efficacy for either complete recovery formulation. The dose, absorption, interactions between ingredients and conditions of use all affect whether a formulated product delivers a particular outcome. No new controlled trial has been presented for the PreSip or PostSip combinations, and product claims would be subject to the evidence and rules applicable in the intended market. The prototypes should be evaluated as formulations, without attributing treatment outcomes to them.
The clear protein drink prototype has its own formulation constraints, as a light appearance and texture must be maintained while the protein remains sufficiently dispersed or dissolved. Protein source and concentration influence clarity, solubility, foaming and sedimentation, while acidity and flavour ingredients can alter stability. Some clear protein systems require careful handling of pH and processing temperature to remain acceptable during storage. Prinova has not specified the complete protein composition of this prototype, so the formulation must not be assumed to use the same pea protein ingredients featured in the company’s earlier development work.
In the skin nutrition concept Sunproof, Prinova combines Setria with Lutemax 2020, a marigold-derived ingredient, although it has supplied no evidence that the finished supplement prevents ultraviolet damage. The selection of these ingredients does not demonstrate that the finished formulation prevents ultraviolet damage or replaces established sun protection measures. Botanical extracts can introduce processing and stability requirements connected with colour, oxidation and interactions with other substances. Ingredient identity and quality, dose uniformity and the packaging used for the completed product would need assessment before commercial production, together with the relevant regulatory and claim requirements.
Prinova has also formulated NutriPaw for dogs using chicken broth, organic mushrooms and turmeric, extending the demonstration to pet nutrition with its separate specifications and regulatory requirements. Its role in the portfolio is to illustrate application of ingredient blending and formulation capabilities to pet nutrition. It should be distinguished from the human food and supplement concepts because species-specific dietary requirements, ingredient rules and acceptable claims may differ. Prinova has not published a commercial manufacturing timetable or performance study for NutriPaw, so it remains an exhibition prototype rather than an established veterinary or nutritional treatment.
Across the concepts, commercial manufacture would require consistent mixing of ingredients at their intended doses as well as checks on stability and packaging suitability. Premixes must distribute small quantities of selected ingredients consistently across a finished batch, while powders and liquids can react differently to moisture, oxygen, heat or handling. A successful concept also has to meet the sensory expectations of the target format. Flavour masking, clarity, colour, physical separation and packaging compatibility can influence whether an ingredient combination is practical at production scale, in addition to its nutritional composition.
At SupplySide Global, Prinova will present these prototypes to development customers, while finished-product validation, permitted claims and launch dates remain unconfirmed. Further stages would require ingredient specifications, stability testing, process validation and review of the permitted claims in each target market. No manufacturing site expansion or commercial order has been attributed to the formulations. The October development lies in the defined recipes and delivery formats selected for demonstration, with subsequent product launches dependent on additional evidence and customer adoption.
