WMF adds Cool Brewed capability to 1500 F

WMF has added its new Cool Brewed function to the 1500 F filter coffee machine, extending the platform from high-speed hot service into cold beverage production.

IN Brief:

  • WMF has added Cool Brewed functionality to the 1500 F filter coffee machine.
  • The system is designed to produce cold coffee at the push of a button rather than through long manual extraction.
  • One machine can now cover both hot and cold filter-coffee service.

WMF has added its new Cool Brewed function to the 1500 F filter coffee machine, extending the platform from high-speed hot service into cold beverage production without the long lead times associated with traditional cold brew.

The new process is designed to produce cold coffee varieties at the press of a button, replacing the typical twelve-to-twenty-four-hour manual extraction window that still defines many cold-brew programmes. WMF says the system extracts directly with water at ambient temperature, producing a milder cup profile with clear aromatics, low bitterness, and a smoother finish.

The addition broadens the role of the 1500 F beyond standard filtered coffee output. Operators can use the machine to serve both hot and cold drinks from a single platform, with storage and brewing modes arranged to support different service patterns across hospitality, convenience, healthcare, and other high-throughput settings.

For beverage operations, the attraction lies in removing labour and timing friction from cold-coffee service. The growth of iced and chilled coffee formats has created demand well beyond specialist cafés, and equipment suppliers are now under pressure to make those drinks easier to deliver inside mainstream foodservice and retail environments.
