PAC to show automated paper, poly bagging

PAC Machinery will show modular bagging automation at MODEX 2026. The exhibit includes paper and recycled-content poly formats, integrated print-and-apply labelling, and all-electric wrappers designed to cut film use in high-throughput fulfilment.

PAC Machinery is preparing a packaging automation showcase for MODEX 2026 in Atlanta, with equipment and materials pitched at high-throughput bagging and wrapping workflows that can switch between recyclable paper and recycled-content polyethylene films. The company’s exhibit is scheduled for April 13–16 at the Georgia World Congress Center, with PAC Machinery listed as an exhibitor at Booth C-11986.

At the centre of the display is what the company calls a “Flexible Sustainability” approach, built around running different mailer substrates on the same automation platforms. PAC Machinery says its systems are designed to reduce material costs, increase production efficiency, and support flexible packaging strategies that can adapt to changing requirements without major changes to hardware.

The line-up includes the Rollbag R785 tabletop automatic bagger, which PAC Machinery says can package items in mailer or clear poly bags up to 12 inches wide, with a thermal transfer printer configured to print directly onto the bag. The company is also introducing the Rollbag R985, described as a compact tabletop automatic bagger designed to run both curbside recyclable paper and poly materials made with recycled content.

For higher-throughput applications, PAC Machinery is showing the 6800CS and 6800CS-XL fulfilment wrappers, described as all-electric automatic poly bagging systems that form right-sized bags around products and print and apply labels at the point of packaging. PAC Machinery says the systems are designed to handle products of virtually any length without compressed air, positioning the elimination of pneumatics as a way to simplify infrastructure requirements, while supporting carrier-compliant shipping labels and traceability.

Paper-based automation is also a focus, with the Rollbag R3200 and R3200XL fulfilment paper automatic baggers set to run Fiberflex curbside recyclable paper mailers, alongside poly mailers made with up to 100% recycled resins. PAC Machinery states that the R3200 supports bags up to 16 inches wide, while the R3200XL supports widths up to 22 inches, allowing larger mailer formats to move into automated flows.

Alongside machinery, PAC Machinery says it will present packaging materials designed to be compatible with automatic baggers from multiple manufacturers, including recyclable paper mailers, recycled-content poly bags, and barcode-blocking bags used in marketplace fulfilment environments where scan management is a constraint.
